Preliminary Energy Use Analysis

DWCE will perform a Preliminary Energy Use Analysis for your facility.  This is the first step in energy analysis and will establish how well your facility is performing.  The Preliminary Energy Use Analysis includes  reviewing utility bills and establishing energy use and cost for your facility.  The use and cost is then compared to  similar facilities to determine how well your facility is performing.  From the Preliminary Energy Use Analysis you will be able to begin to see the savings potential for improving the performance of your facility. 

Walk Through Audit(ASHRAE Level I)

Building on the data from the Preliminary Energy Use Analysis DWCE will walk your facility reviewing day to day operations, construction details and equipment to determine a concise list of potential energy improvements customized for your facility.  We will interview building managers and occupants looking for problem areas and potential improvements.  The Walk Through Analysis will include a list of low and no cost improvements along with estimated cost and return on investment periods.  Suggested capital improvements will also be included without cost or return on investment.  This Analysis is based on an ASHRAE Level I Energy Audit and meets the requirements of LEED Energy and Atmosphere Prerequisite 1 Energy Efficiency Best Management Practices - Planning, Documentation, and Opportunity Assesment.

Energy Survey Audit(ASHRAE Level II)

Building further on the information from the Preliminary Energy Analysis and the Walk Through Analysis DWCE will perfrom a thorough review of low no cost impovements as well as potential capital expenditures that will serve to improve the energy and environmental performance of the facility.  The improvements will include estimated cost as well as return on investment periods.  The list will be prioritized based on return on investment period to show you which improvements will provide the most benefit for the cost.  This analysis is based on an AHSRAE Level II Energy Audit and meets the requirements for LEED Credit 2.1 Existing Building Commissioning - Investigation and Analysis

Implement Modifications

DWCE will help with designer/engineer selection, product selection, contractor pricing and scheduling of work required to implement modifications.  DWCE will monitor installations and ensure proper installation and operation.

Monitoring the Effectiveness of Improvements

DWCE will track energy use and environmental performance after the improvements have been made to validate the cost of the improvements.
